It is that time of year again when we complete our holiday toy drive. The Azusa Canyon Annual Rosemary’s Children Holiday Party is for those that cannot be with their families this Christmas or in some cases will never see them again. This year we have decided to hold a “Dirt for Dinner” evening on November 23rd at 6:00 PM at the Azusa Greens County Club - 919 W Sierra Madre Ave, Azusa, California 91702 - so that we can gather and celebrate what the year has meant to everyone. With food, drink, raffles, and a band we got a bit classy this year!

While we don’t have any power to change the heartbreaking issues many of these young girls are facing, we do have the power to give them a ray of hope in the form of our annual commitment, a Christmas Party with games, gifts, and Santa on December 7th. We hope that, for these children for a little while the past melts away, and the present brings hope in knowing they were not left behind or forgotten; that there are people out here that do not leave others behind when it gets a little rough.

We have done a lot of fun things together this year and I personally have enjoyed the warmth of your smiles, the depth of kindness in your eyes, and spending time giving what we can with those who have faced challenges.

Below are several links for opportunities to be involved with this year. The event is on the Park page on Facebook, there is a link to last year’s success, and a convenient donation site. If you would like to donate toys, swag, shirts etc. to raffle off that’s good as gold! All donations and gifts are tax deductible!https://www.facebook.com/events/229968607169451/http://www.rosemarychildren.org/press/holiday-joy-for-foster-children/http://www.gofundme.com/564a4s

You never know who some of these children will grow up to be and if we just give them a little ray of hope maybe some good will come of it…Like them it is my personal story: Mike Bishop- Born December 12th 1964, Abandoned August 1964, left with a babysitter, mother never returned…If just one child is helped, then we have succeeded.

So, from all of us Canyon Critters to all of you thanks for everything you have helped us with this year and we hope you have enjoyed our little events along the way! We have been blessed by your support, it has been amazing!
