Heavy-duty tie rod for GM and Hummer introduced

SUPERSTEER INTRODUCES HEAVY-DUTY TIE ROD ASSEMBLY FOR CHEVY, GMC AND HUMMER APPLICATIONS

If you’ve ever taken your 2001-2007 GM truck, SUV or Hummer H2 off road, then you know how easy it is to bend the stock tie rod assembly. SuperSteer has introduced a permanent solution to this problem with its new heavy-duty tie rod end, which offers numerous improvements to the stock part. First and foremost, it is a full one-inch forging, compared to the factory’s 1⁄2-inch. It also incorporates a 30 mm ball compared to the stock 25 mm, and offers 37 degrees of stud swing compared to only 28 for the factory part. This SuperSteer HD tie rod assembly is available for most 2001-2007 Chevy/GMC 1500, 2500, 3500 2WD and 4WD trucks, Avalanche 2500, Suburban/Yukon XL 2500 and ’03-’07 Hummer H2. For complete applications or for information on other SuperSteer products, contact SuperSteer, (888) 898 3281; www.supersteersuperstop.com.

Rough Country Offers Support for HD Tie Rod

Chevy Tie Rod Sleeve

Dyersburg, TN (Jun 16, 2009) – One area seriously lacking on the Chevy HD is the steering link. With an outside diameter of only .5”, one wrong turn can easily bend the tie rod leaving your alignment out of whack for all of eternity. That problem is only intensified when you beef up the truck’s appearance with an off-road tire and wheel package. Rough Country combats this issue with its new HD Tie Rod Sleeve. Taking the outside diameter from .5” to 1”, this steel sleeve strengthens the steering components on the HD with an install time of only an hour. Rough Country’s HD Tie Rod Sleeve simply takes the place of the stock jam nut giving you sturdy assurance that handling issues are not a concern for you anymore.

SuperSteer Introduces Steering Upgrade for GM Trucks

SUPER STEER IDLER SUPPORT ASSEMBLY ELIMINATES STEERING SLOP IN GM 1500-2500 SERIES IFS TRUCKS

Owners of ’93-’98 GM 1500-2500 IFS trucks can now enjoy responsive steering with SuperSteer’s new SS170 idler support assembly. Designed as a direct replacement for the factory part, the SS170 features a robust cast-aluminum, powder-coated housing and tapered roller bearings instead of sleeve bushings. The tapered roller bearing design is not only better at carrying load, but can also be adjusted to remove side play for precise movement. The SS170 comes with Grade 8 hardware and instructions. SuperSteer also offers a complete steering upgrade package (#SS170K6) that includes the idler support and a brace kit that ties the pitman arm, center link and idler support together to prevent premature ball socket wear and toe changes. The brace kit is also available separately under #SS1006. For more information on these and other SuperSteer products, contact SuperSteer, (888) 898 3281; www.supersteersuperstop.com.
